Rusia vrea să facă schimb de spioni
Rusia ia în calcul toate posibilităţile pentru a sări în ajutorul suspecţilor de spionaj. Autorităţile de la Kremlin vor să-l extrădeze pe Igor Sutiaghin, condamnat la închisoare pentru spionaj în favoarea Washingtonului, în schimbul suspecţilor ruşi arestaţi de Statele Unite ale Americii. Declaraţia aparţine avocatei lui Sutiaghin.
Igor Sutiaghin, expert în arme nucleare, a primit 15 ani de detenţie, fiind acuzat că a transmis informaţii militare secrete unei firme britanice. Procurorii ruşi au stabilit că el a colaborat şi cu serviciile secrete americane. Avocata lui Sutiaghin spune că autorităţile ruse ar vrea să facă schimbul de spioni joi, dar nu ştie care dintre cei 11 suspecţi arestaţi de FBI va fi cerut. Avocata a declarat pentru Reuters că Igor Sutiagin va fi trimis întâi în Marea Britanie şi, probabil, de acolo va merge în Statele Unite.
Noi informaţii apar şi despre spionii ruşi arestaţi în SUA. Înt-un interviu acordat cotidianului britanic The Telegraf, mama celei mai vânate suspecte, Anna Chapman, spune despre fiica sa că a fost un copil obişnuit, iar la şcoală nu a ieşit cu nimic în evidenţă.
