Doi cercetători germani, Christian Holz şi Patrick Baudisch, au inventat primul ecran touch care recunoaşte amprentele. Prototipul ar putea revoluţiona securitatea online şi modul în care interacţionăm cu gadget-urile, scrie yoda.ro.
Prototipul biometric se numeşte Fiberio şi foloseşte un ecran de dimensiunea unei tablete mari, care include milioane de fibre optice şi o sursă de infraroşii. Fiecare fibră emite lumina emisă de imaginea proiectată în spatele ecranului, în timp ce o sursă respectivă captează datele caracteristicile amprentei şi trimite datele unei camere cu infraroşii.
"Display-urile nu pot scana amprente, iar senzorii de amprente nu pot afişa imagini. Noi le-am combinat şi a ieşit un prototip care face ambele lucruri. Nimeni n-a mai reuşit aşa ceva până acum", a declarat Christian Holz, unul din cercetători. Utilizatorii sunt identificaţi de fiecare dată când ating ecranul iar aplicaţiile sale pot depăşi lejer domeniul securităţii online.
