Fostul ciclist Danilo di Luca vrea să producă biciclete sportive în Moldova
Fostul căştigător al Giro d'Italia, Danilo di Luca vrea să producă biciclete sportive în Moldova. În acest scop, italianul, cunoscut pentru performanţele uimitoare pe care le-a înregistrat, dar şi pentru scandalurile de dopaj în care a fost implicat, a vizitat o fabrică din Chişinău. La finalul vizitei, Di Luca a anunţat că în scurt timp ar putea încheia un parteneriat cu producătorii locali.
După ce a părăsit sportul de performanţă, câştigătorul Turului Italiei din 2007, şi unul dintre cei mai buni ciclisti italieni din ultimele decenii, Danilo di Luca s-a apucat de fabricarea bicicletelor. Di Luca a venit în Moldova la invitaţia preşedintelui federaţiei de ciclism, Andrei Cimili, şi a vizitat o fabrică de biciclete.
"Vreau să iniţiez producerea bicicletelor mele aici, în Moldova. Probabil, voi încheia un parteneriat cu producătorii locali, după care voi lansa o fabrică împreună cu ei", a spus fostul ciclist.
Chiar dacă îşi doreşte să ajungă pe piaţa moldovenească, di Luca cunoaşte foarte puţin despre ciclismul local. "Tot ce ştiu despre ciclismul moldovenesc este Andrei Cimili. O perioadă lungă de timp am concurat împreună la turnee internaţionale. Este pentru prima dată când vin în Moldova", a menţionat Di Luca.
"Este o şansă foarte bună de a demonstra lumii întregi că şi în Moldova se fac biciclete", consideră preşedintele Federaţiei moldoveneşti de Ciclism, Andrei Cimili.
Reuşitele lui di Luca au fost umbrite în ultimii ani însă de scandalurile de dopaj în care a fost implicat. Prima dată, italianul în vârstă de 33 de ani a fost depistat pozitiv în 2009 şi s-a ales cu o suspendare de doi ani. Al doilea caz a avut loc în primăvara acestui an, fapt care l-a forţat pe di Luca să-şi încheie cariera sportivă.
