Trei bombe au explodat în mai puţin de o oră în preajma unui hotel din capitala Somaliei. Cel puţin 11 oameni au murit, iar alţi 17 au fost răniţi. Atacul s-a produs într-o regiune extrem de securizată din Mogadishu, pentru că hotelul este des vizitat de oficiali.
Incidentul arată, încă o dată, provocările pe care le are noul preşedinte al Somaliei, care a promis că va pune capăt celor două decenii de violenţe.
Exploziile au fost organizate cu maşini-capcană. Atentatul nu a fost revendicat imediat, însă forţele de securitate presupun că în spatele lui s-ar afla gruparea Al-Shabab. Este vorba despre islamiştii responsabili de luare ostaticilor, anul trecut, într-un centru comercial din Kenya.
