Trofeul Cupei Mondiale a ajuns în Brazilia! La ceremonie a participat legendarul fotbalist Alberto Torres
După ce fost purtat prin 89 de state ale lumii, trofeul Cupei Mondiale a ajuns şi în Brazilia. Cupa va fi prezentată fanilor din 27 de oraşe din Ţara Cafelei.
Deşi Ceremonia de Deschidere a Mondialului din vară va avea loc la Sao Paolo, turneul brazilian de promovare a trofeului a început la Rio, pe Maracana. La evenimentul de pe renumita arenă a participat şi legendarul jucător al naţionalei Selecao, Carlos Alberto Torres.
"Am un prieten fotbalist, Franz Beckenbauer, iar lui îi plăcea să glumească cu mine, spunându-mi că el m-a lăsat să ridic trofeul cel vechi pentru ca mai apoi el să-l poată ridica pe cel nou. Asta pentru că la Mondialul din 1970 a fost un alt trofeu. Eu însă i-am spus: "Noi am depus mult efort ca să-l câştigăm pe cel din 1970 şi v-am oferit vouă posibilitatea ca să-l cuceriţi pe cel nou", a declarat fostul fotbalist Carlos Alberto Torres.
Carlos Alberto Torres este considerat unul dintre mai buni jucători brazilieni din toate timpurile. Acesta a câştigat cu Brazilia, Mondialul din 1970, iar patru ani mai târziu Franz Beckenbauer a reuşit aceeaşi performanţă cu naţionala Germaniei de Vest.
Actualul trofeu al Cupei Mondiale se înmânează echipelor câştigătoare începând cu anul 1974. Din 1930 şi până în 1970 a fost un alt trofeu, care a purtat numele lui Jules Rimet.
Turneul de promovare a trofeului Cupei Mondiale prin Brazilia va dura şase săptămâni şi se va încheia la Sao Paulo. În acest oraş, pe 12 iunie, este programat meciul de deschidere a Mondialului, dintre naţionala ţării gazdă şi cea a Croaţiei.
