A apărut o nouă boală: Ortorexia nervoasă
Dietele şi abuzul de exerciţii fizice ne pun sănătatea în pericol, avertizează specialiştii în nutriţie. Potrivit experţilor, recent s-a identificat, atât printre femei, cât şi printre bărbaţi, o obsesie pentru un stil de viaţă sănătos, dus la extrem. Această boală este cunoscută sub denumirea de ortorexie nervoasă, informează Mediafax cu referire la Daily Mail.
Specialiştii precizează că o femeie din 10 şi un bărbat din 20 prezintă din acest motiv un risc crescut de a suferi de malnutriţie, afecţiune care netratată poate duce la deces.
Nutriţioniştii au constatat că persoanele care au dezvoltat această obsesie au tendinţa de a elimina din dieta zilnică grupe importante de nutrienţi, motivând că nu fac parte dintr-o dietă echilibrată.
În plus, s-a demosntrat că tot mai multe persoane au tendinţa de a face abuz de exerciţii fizice, neştiind că organismul are nevoie şi de odihnă.
Adolescenţii şi persoanele sub 30 de ani sunt cele mai expuse ortorexiei nervoase, afecţiune care seamănă cu anorexia sau cu bulimia, subliniază nutriţioniştii. Diferenţa dintre acestea este că obsesia pentru un stil sănătos nu apare neapărat din dorinţa de a slăbi.
