Nouă țări europene au suspendat imunizarea cu AstraZeneca
Agenția Italiană a Medicamentului a decis, joi, să oprească imunizarea cu serul produs de AstraZeneca, după ce au apărut probleme de coagulare a sângelui la unii pacienți, notează Mediafax. Totuși, până în prezent nu a fost stabilită nicio legătură cauzală între administrarea vaccinului și aceste efecte adverse.
AIFA a decis ca măsură de precauție să interzică utilizarea acestui lot pe întreg teritoriul național, potrivit ANSA. Eșantioane din acest lot vor fi analizate de Institutul Național de Sănătate din Italia, iar AIFA va comunica „orice informații noi care devin disponibile” în legătură cu cercetarea desfășurată.
Până acum 9 țări au suspendat vaccinarea cu AstraZeneca: Danemarca, Italia, Norvegia, Austria, Estonia, Luxemburg, Lituania, Letonia și Islanda.
AstraZeneca nu a comentat cele două incidente.
Vaccinul a fost aprobat de autorităţile de reglementare ale Uniunii Europene pe 30 ianuarie, care au spus că vaccinul este eficient şi sigur de utilizat. Reacţiile adverse observate în studii au fost de scurtă durată în cea mai mare parte şi nu au fost raportate problemele de coagulare a sângelui.
