Formula E, spre un nou nivel: Piloţii au efectuat primele teste
Competiţia cu monoposturi electrice, Formula E se îndreaptă spre un nou nivel. Echipele şi-au îmbunătăţit maşinile pentru noul sezon, iar piloţii au efectuat primele teste. La cea de-a doua ediţie a Mondialului de Formula E va participa şi fostul campion mondial la Formula 1, Jacques Villeneuve
La doar şase săptămâni după încheierea primului Campionat Mondial de Formula E, piloţii au început pregătirile pentru cel de-al doilea sezon.
Primele teste au avut loc în oraşul britanic Donlington. Cel mai bun rezultat l-a înregistrat Sebastien Buemi, din Elveţia. Acesta a declarat că este mulţumit de modificările aduse monopostului şi aşteaptă cu nerăbdare noul sezon.
"În general, nu am putut face multe schimbări la maşină, nu am putut schimba chiar totul. Deci, ca să fie clar, monopostul este un pic mai ușor de condus, frânele sunt mai bune", a declarat un pilot.
În cel de-al doilea campionat de Formula E se anunţă mari surprize. Prima este fostul campion Mondial la Formula 1 cu Williams Renault, Jacques Villeneuve, care a anunțat că revine pe circuit în acest sezon al Formulei E. Canadianul în vârstă 44 de ani va concura pentru echipa Venturi. Acesta a participat în sesiunea de teste şi a înregistrat la 12-lea rezultat.
Prima etapă a Campionatului Mondial de Formula E va avea loc 17 octombrie la Beijing, China. În noul sezon vor concura 10 echipe şi 20 de piloți. Cursele se vor desfășura pe circuite stradale din orașele mari ale lumii, cu o lungime de la 2 la 3,4 kilometri. Mașinile accelerează de la 0 la 100 de kilometri pe oră în 3 secunde.
Anul trecut, campion mondial a devenit Nelson Piquet.
