Sorin Cîmpeanu a fost desemnat premier interimar al României. Anunţul a fost făcut de liderul de la Bucureşti, Klaus Iohannis. Acesta va conduce Guvernul până când se va decide structura noului Executiv.
"Am acceptat demisia prim-ministrului Ponta. Am decis astăzi să numesc în poziția de prim-ministru interimar pe domnul Sorin Cîmpeanu", a anunțat Klaus Iohannis.
Sorin Cîmpeanu este ministru al Educației.
Şeful statului român va avea astăzi şi mâine consultări cu formaţiunile parlamentare pentru a desemna un candidat la funcţia de prim-ministru. România a rămas fără şef al Guvernului după ce ieri Victor Ponta a demisionat şi a anunţat că îl va propune la funcţia de premier pe ministrul Apărării, Mircea Duşa.
CINE ESTE SORIN CÎMPEANU
Sorin Mihai Cîmpeanu s-a născut la 18 aprilie 1968. A absolvit Colegiul Național "Sf. Sava'"din București, în 1986, apoi Facultatea de Îmbunătățiri Funciare și Ingineria Mediului din cadrul Universității de Științe Agronomice și Medicină Veterinară din București (USAMV) (1986-1991). În anul 2000 și-a susținut doctoratul în cadrul aceleiași facultăți, potrivit digi24.ro.
A lucrat ca inginer proiectant la Institutul de Studii și Proiectări pentru Îmbunătățiri Funciare (ISPIF) (1991-1992); coordonator al Centrului Experimental Periș-Ilfov, din cadrul USAMV București (1992-1999); expert coordonator la Ministerul Educației și Cercetării — Centrul Național pentru Programul european Leonardo da Vinci (2000-2003); expert coordonator la Ministerul Educației și Cercetării — Agenția Națională pentru parteneriatul universităților cu mediul economico-social (APART) (2003-2004); director la Irrifrance Roumanie (2005-2008). Din 2003 este vicepreședinte al Centrului de Excelență în Cercetare BIOTEHNOL.
Și-a început cariera universitară în 1992, parcurgând toate treptele: preparator (1992-1995); asistent universitar (1995-1997); șef lucrări (1997-2001); conferențiar (2001-2006); profesor (din 2006). Este conducător de doctorat din 2006.
A fost prodecan al Facultății de Îmbunătățiri Funciare și Ingineria Mediului, USAMV (2004-2008); director al Departamentului FR din cadrul Facultății de Îmbunătățiri Funciare, USAMV (2008-2012) și decan al Facultății de Îmbunătățiri Funciare, USAMV (2008-2012). În prezent, este rector al Universității de Științe Agronomice și Medicină Veterinară din București (din martie 2012).
De asemenea, este vicepreședinte al Comitetului Național Român pentru Programul Hidrologic Internațional (CIHR) (din 2012); membru corespondent al Academiei de Științe Tehnice din România (din 2012); membru corespondent al Academiei de Științe Agricole și Silvice "Gheorghe Ionescu Șișești" (din 2012); Secretar General al Consiliului Național de Atestarea Titlurilor, Diplomelor și Certificatelor Universitare (CNATDCU) (din 2012); președinte al Consiliul Național al Rectorilor din România (din iulie 2013).
Este autorul a peste 80 de articole științifice și a peste 10 cărți de specialitate sau manuale universitare. A fost distins cu Premiul național "In Hoc Signo Vinces", acordat pentru întreaga activitate de cercetare, în anul 2002, de către Consiliul Național al Cercetării Științifice din Învățământul Superior și cu Medalia "Meritul pentru Învățământ", acordată în anul 2004, de către Președinția României.
Este membru a numeroase asociații și organizații profesionale, printre care Administrația Națională a Îmbunătățirilor Funciare (ANIF) — Membru în Consiliul de Administrație în perioada 2008-2011; Asociația Generală a Inginerilor din România (AGIR); Fundația pentru Dezvoltare Rurală din România (FDR); Societatea Națională pentru Știința Solului (SNSS); Asociația Națională a Managerilor Universitari (AMU); Comitetul Național pentru combaterea secetei, deșertificării și degradării terenurilor; Centrul de Excelență în Cercetare în Inginerie Rurală și Protecția Mediului (CEXIRPM); Centrul de Excelență în Cercetare în domeniul Biotehnologiilor (BIOTEHNOL).
Este Profesor asociat la Institutul Superior de Agricultură Lille — Franța, din 2003; coordonator lucrări de diplomă și de disertație, elaborate de către absolvenți ai USAMVB, ASE și ESNA — Toulouse, Franța; membru în comitetul științific al revistei Agricultura — agricultural practice and science journal — Cluj Napoca; expert evaluator programe naționale de cercetare: CEEX / RELANSIN / MENER / BIOTECH / CNCSIS/PNCDI; președinte al Comisiei de Ingineria resurselor vegetale și animale, Consiliul Național de Atestare a Titlurilor, Diplomelor și Certificatelor Universitare (CNATDCU).
