Premiul Nobel pentru fizică a fost câştigat de Serge Haroche şi David Wineland
Premiul Nobel pentru Fizică a fost decernat în acest an cercetătorilor francez Serge Haroche şi american David Wineland. Savanţii au fost recompensaţi pentru metodele lor experimentale inovatoare, care permit măsurarea şi manipularea sistemelor cuantice individuale, fără a le distruge.
Acest lucru era până acum considerat imposibil, iar laureaţii Nobel au deschis calea către o nouă epocă a experimentării în fizică cuantică, potrivit Academiei Regale Suedeze pentru Ştiinţe. Laureaţii, care au primit câte o medalie de aur, vor împărţi între ei un premiu în valoare de 1,2 milioane de euro.
Premiul pentru Fizică este cel de-al doilea oferit în cadrul săptămânii Nobel şi va fi urmat de premiile pentru Chimie, Literatură, Pace şi Economie.
Publika.md menţionează că, ieri, japonezul Shinya Yamanaka şi britanicul John Gurdo au primit Premiul Nobel pentru Medicină. Potrivit Comitetului Nobel, ei au revoluţionat domeniul ştiinţei.
Premiile Nobel pentru realizări în domeniul ştiinţei, literaturii şi păcii au fost acordate pentru prima dată în anul 1901, la iniţiativa inventatorului dinamitei şi omului de afaceri Alfred Nobel.
