Prima misiune spaţială israeliană spre Lună: Beresheet a trimis un selfie cu Pământul
Beresheet, prima misiune israeliană spre Lună, lansată pe 22 februarie, a transmis un selfie cu Pământul, potrivit digi24.ro.
Imaginea, în care a fost captată o parte din nava Beresheet şi Pământul, în fundal, a fost transmisă marţi la punctul de control din Yehud (Israel), de la 37.600 de kilometri distanţă.
Partenerii, NGO SpaceIL şi compania de stat Israel Aerospace Industries, au lansat misiunea fără echipaj uman din Cape Canaveral (Florida).
Cu o greutate de 585 de kilograme, aparatul a fost lansat ataşat unei rachete Falcon 9 a companiei SpaceX, deţinută de antreprenorul Elon Musk.
Călătoria este programată să dureze şapte săptămâni, Beresheet (geneză, n.r.) urmând să revină pe Pământ pe 11 aprilie.
Până în prezent, Rusia, Statele Unite şi China au reuşit să străbată cei 384.000 de kilometri şi să aselenizeze.
